Once again we find Moses as mediator between God and Israel. The priests, Aaron and his sons, were to be presented before the people, but first they had to be prepared.<\/p>\n<p>It is the same for each of us in our lives of service to the Lord. There must first be preparation before presentation. Moses himself spent forty years in the desert learning <em>how<\/em> to lead, by leading and watching sheep. God told Zechariah in Zechariah 4:10, \u201cDon\u2019t despise the day of small things.\u201d Jesus expounded on this when He said, \u201cThe one who is faithful in little will be made ruler over much.\u201d <em>Even Jesus<\/em> spent His first thirty years in obscurity.<\/p>\n<p>Preparation is always necessary before presentation in the Kingdom of God. These priests were first to be washed with water. Psalm 119:11 says, &#8220;How shall a young man cleanse his ways? By taking heed to the word . . . Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against Thee.&#8221; In John 15:3 Jesus said, \u201cNow you are clean through the word that I have spoken to you.\u201d Paul tells us in Ephesians 5, \u201cWe are washed with the water of the word.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The effective servant of God is the one who has been washed with the water of the Word. If I want to be used by the Lord I must be first washed in the water of the Word. Once more we find, \u201cThe New is in the Old concealed, the Old is in the New revealed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Thank you LORD for cleansing me this day through Your Word.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<p>=============================================================<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leviticus 8 KJV<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><sup>1<\/sup>\u00a0And the\u00a0LORD\u00a0spake unto Moses, saying,\u00a0<sup>2<\/sup>\u00a0Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;\u00a0<sup>3<\/sup>\u00a0And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.\u00a0<sup>4<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses did as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.\u00a0<sup>5<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses said unto the congregation, This\u00a0<em>is\u00a0<\/em>the thing which the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded to be done.\u00a0<sup>6<\/sup>And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.\u00a0<sup>7<\/sup>\u00a0And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound\u00a0<em>it\u00a0<\/em>unto him therewith.\u00a0<sup>8<\/sup>\u00a0And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.\u00a0<sup>9<\/sup>\u00a0And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre,\u00a0<em>even\u00a0<\/em>upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded Moses.\u00a0<sup>10<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>therein, and sanctified them.\u00a0<sup>11<\/sup>\u00a0And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.\u00a0<sup>12<\/sup>\u00a0And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron\u2019s head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.\u00a0<sup>13<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses brought Aaron\u2019s sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded Moses.\u00a0 <sup>14<\/sup>\u00a0And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.\u00a0<sup>15<\/sup>\u00a0And he slew\u00a0<em>it;\u00a0<\/em>and Moses took the blood, and put\u00a0<em>it\u00a0<\/em>upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.\u00a0<sup>16<\/sup>And he took all the fat that\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>upon the inwards, and the caul\u00a0<em>above\u00a0<\/em>the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned\u00a0<em>it\u00a0<\/em>upon the altar.\u00a0<sup>17<\/sup>\u00a0But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded Moses. <sup>18<\/sup>\u00a0And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.\u00a0<sup>19<\/sup>\u00a0And he killed\u00a0<em>it;\u00a0<\/em>and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.\u00a0<sup>20<\/sup>\u00a0And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.\u00a0<sup>21<\/sup>\u00a0And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour,\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>an offering made by fire unto the\u00a0LORD; as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded Moses. <sup>22<\/sup>\u00a0And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.\u00a0<sup>23<\/sup>\u00a0And he slew\u00a0<em>it;\u00a0<\/em>and Moses took of the blood of it, and put\u00a0<em>it\u00a0<\/em>upon the tip of Aaron\u2019s right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.\u00a0<sup>24<\/sup>\u00a0And he brought Aaron\u2019s sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.\u00a0<sup>25<\/sup>\u00a0And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>upon the inwards, and the caul\u00a0<em>above\u00a0<\/em>the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:\u00a0<sup>26<\/sup>\u00a0And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>before the\u00a0LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put\u00a0<em>them\u00a0<\/em>on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:\u00a0<sup>27<\/sup>\u00a0And he put all upon Aaron\u2019s hands, and upon his sons\u2019 hands, and waved them\u00a0<em>for\u00a0<\/em>a wave offering before the\u00a0LORD.\u00a0<sup>28<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt\u00a0<em>them\u00a0<\/em>on the altar upon the burnt offering: they\u00a0<em>were<\/em> consecrations for a sweet savour: it\u00a0<em>is\u00a0<\/em>an offering made by fire unto the\u00a0LORD.\u00a0<sup>29<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses took the breast, and waved it\u00a0<em>for\u00a0<\/em>a wave offering before the\u00a0LORD:\u00a0<em>for\u00a0<\/em>of the ram of consecration it was Moses\u2019 part; as the\u00a0LORD\u00a0commanded Moses.\u00a0<sup>30<\/sup>\u00a0And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which\u00a0<em>was\u00a0<\/em>upon the altar, and sprinkled\u00a0<em>it\u00a0<\/em>upon Aaron,\u00a0<em>and\u00a0<\/em>upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons\u2019 garments with him;
