I shared this back in 2020 when I had the first cancer. I’m sharing it again!
Month: August 2023
Short Update
A short update. I will be starting chemo in a few weeks and then radiation. I had surgery earlier this month to remove the cancer and am healing nicely! I feel great actually. I am completely at peace and so enjoying the nearness of the Lord right now. He is my peace. All is well!
See People
This is why we need to throw the looking glass away! When you walk through this life, make it a practice to ‘see’ people. Look into their eyes and smile, say a kind word, acknowledge them! Let God’s love pass through you and into their hearts. Make a difference in someone’s life today! Choose joy!!!!!! …
Using the Bad for Good
My dear friend Annie Herring, from Second Chapter of Acts, wrote a song years ago that has had a amazing impact on my life. Many of you probably remember it. The song goes like this “fly away little burden, fly away off my shoulder. Yesterday was a burden, yesterday I was older. Clouds of gray …
Let’s Further the Kingdom
This is a quote that a dear friend sent me. It says at all. “Hardship changes you or breaks you, but it probably won’t evade you. In the midst of it, we discover that hardship is not a sign of God’s absence; it is where God’s greatest power dwells.” Most of us live in hardship, …
See Others
Today was a day! To take time to get our eyes off of ourselves, and look up and around us and see the needs of others. To take time to encourage and show, love, and compassion, and help others to choose joy! Today was the day! My heart is full. Lucy loved on several little …

Well, the third leg of my journey begins. I will be starting chemo in a few weeks. A few minutes ago I was texting a friend and I told her that this time around, God is no less present than He was the time before. I am in a very comfortable place right now, snuggled …
Psalm 84
Psalm 84:5-7 (NLT) ~ What joy for those whose strength comes from the Lord, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. When they walk through the Valley of Weeping, it will become a place of refreshing springs. The autumn rains will clothe it with blessings. They will continue to grow stronger, and …
Still Waiting
Choose joy! Dance! Be OK with not knowing and rest in what you know! What I know is this. That I am loved! I am the daughter of the King! I have everything I need in Him! I could go on and on and on about the blessings. Today I choose to look at the …
Waiting
I am waiting! Sometimes the path forward is unclear. It is so much easier to know and then proceed, but God doesn’t always give us that. Sometimes He has us stand still in the dark, holding His hand. Not knowing the answer to the big question in front of us, staying in wait mode. It’s …
