Update

Update! My youngest daughter surprised Ed and I last week by driving home from Virginia. What a blessing! And the following day, one of her friends from Northern California drove down and another one drove in from LA. They descended on my house like three fairy godmother’s. They organized my refrigerator. They got all of my medications mapped out and figured out with the right times and the right levels. But, honestly, just having both of my girls here has been an amazing blessing.

My creatinine levels for my kidneys are dropping back down into the normal range, which means I will be able to take the new medications they want to give me to try to stop the cancer. I’m able to eat and drink way closer to normal now. I just was not able to eat, and I was dropping weight way too quickly. And on that note, this is never a good way to diet, ha ha.

I feel like I’m in a bit of an upswing, which is an amazing blessing from God. Your prayers are working. I’m encouraged. I’m excited. I am a blessed woman. And so many wonderful, kind, thoughtful, sweet friends from church have come in like a flood and brought meals to me and flowers and come alongside and done dishes and laundry. They’ve been helping Wendy move into the little house.

I am overwhelmed with this feeling of love and care you have all shown me. And, frankly, it makes me cry. And I can’t afford to cry that much right now because I need the moisture, ha ha.
