Faith, Patience and Pain …
These three, faith, pain, and patience are all debated and discussed in this Book of Job we now come to but the questions are only to some partial extent answered. Job is perhaps the oldest book we have in the Bible and some believe the oldest book in human history. Four thousand years ago how did men think and react to each other? What logic and rational arguments did they use? Were they even logical at all or just ignorant Bronze Age humanoids? After reading through this book we find that these kind of questions only serve to prove how biased and what chronological snobs we really are. We can say with scientific confidence that it is more than 2000 years old and if it really is 4000 years old it makes it all the more fascinating. Fascinating and intriguing since the subjects discussed here continue to be discussed and pondered just as much today four millennia later. Job asks over and over again, “Why God? Why?” Study on sojourner and expect the Creator to condescend and speak to your heart … Blessings, Ed
