Because they are written to pastors these next three short letters are often called ‘The Pastorals.’ It seems likely that the two letters we just finished to the Thessalonians were the first letters Paul wrote and now we come to probably the last three letters Paul penned before he died. Probably written sometime after his release from his first Roman imprisonment as described at the end of the book of Acts Paul is a seasoned missionary of the Gospel. These ‘Pastorals’ still speak powerfully to anyone in any kind of ministry today as well.
